Review of a “Chemical Risk” Exercise at Our Les Citerniers Bretons Subsidiary
In partnership with the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Morbihan (SDIS 56), our Quéven site hosted this year its third full-scale exercise on chemical risks. As a carrier authorized to handle sensitive materials, this collaboration is essential to ensure the safety of our teams and the surrounding areas.
A Realistic and Educational Exercise
During this exercise, a simulated ammonia leak allowed us to:
- React quickly to an emergency situation,
- Adopt the right reflexes,
- Strengthen collaboration between our teams and security forces,
- Familiarize firefighters with our environment and company,
- Identify key contacts for effective intervention.
A Collective Effort for Safety
This exercise involved:
- 9 trainees and 2 supervisors from SDIS 56,
- A hazardous materials trainer from Citerniers Bretons,
- Charles Le Godec, member of the QHSE service and volunteer firefighter at the Lorient CSP.
Charles Le Godec played a key role by providing firefighters with necessary information, such as the staff list and site plans, while answering questions during the exercise.
A Strong Territorial Commitment
EBTrans is fully committed alongside security forces to maintain a high level of preparedness for chemical risks. Through initiatives like this, we help protect our employees, partners, and the regions where we operate.
